Fragments of paint pulled out Old Havana buildings, glued on wood. The pieces make a series where
each abstraction is a unique work without any previous idea or sketch in its composition; it only has as
a common principle the degradation of the different range of colors emerging in the process of creation
of the piece and after separating the different range of paint collected in the city.

The title of the work establishes a parallel between degradation of colors in the work composition and
the most pejorative meaning of the word, as a synonym of deterioration, in this case of the city. Then,
with this sort of skin from Havana under the veil of dirt, lack of paint and color, a colorful collage of great
beauty becomes this type of painting.
